About the Show: Lisa Pasold brings alive the poker ace heroine of her critically-acclaimed book, Rats of Las Vegas, with stories of high-rolling gangsters and big stakes poker during the Dirty Thirties. Take a ride to an era of sharp suits, greasy diners and well-earned hangovers. You might even hear a song or two from lounge lizard Bremner Duthie. In Las Vegas, breakfast is anytime!
About Lisa Pasold: Ms. Pasold is a writer and journalist who divides her time between Paris and Toronto. She has had two books of poetry published: Weave, which Geist magazine describes as “quite simply a masterpiece”, and A Bad Year for Journalists, which the Globe and Mail describes as: “critical, darkly funny and painstakingly lyrical”. Her third book is a novel, Rats of Las Vegas, just out on the shelves and already receiving fine reviews.
