About the Show

The Suitcase Show is the story of two hobos (Clever Trever and Dinah D) who discover they have suddenly gotten jobs with a circus travelling through town. Part story telling, lots of music, and all circus, the Suitcase Show is an adventure in fun! As the circus train travels from town to town, you'll meet some of the interesting characters that make the show happen. The happy-go-lucky duo work their way into the circus culture from making popcorn to performing lively routines. Bring your family and friends to see what happens when Clever Trever and Dinah D join the circus!

Clever Trever is a clown, juggler, and all around circus guy. A graduate of the Clown Conservatory in San Francisco, Trever cut his teeth performing in Golden Gate Park. Since then he has toured all over North America performing schools, theatres and busking on street corners and parks. Trever has inhabited the Salish Sea for many years and his numerous fans know him as a unique and creative juggling clown! Lately his days involve riding his unicycle around the living room, learning to throw cards, and playing trombone with a boxing glove on the end.

Dinah D is an upright bassist, singer songwriter, and co-leader of the hit band The Kerplunks. Her national tours have taken her to stages in every province and territory (except Nunavut). Some of the world's finest musicians call Dinah a friend and co-worker. Around here we all know that Dinah loves to have fun! Her sense of timing and rhythm are impeccable, her smile charming, and her sense of humour infectious.
